Decided to muck around with the website a little. This is a new theme that I think works a bit better, and I've simplified the layout too. All movies are now in the videos page, and things SHOULD be going well on the site.

This is the project I'll be working on over the next 6 months. I'll be filming lots of local riders on the natural slopes on Mt. Wellington. Hopefully it'll show the Tasmanian public what there is to do on the mountain, it might help gain more legal trails, and it'll show Australia and the world why Hobart is such an awesome place to ride, and that's not including trails off the mountain.

I have NO idea when I'll be finished with this. I've hardly even started and I've got so much planned to ...

Well my main editing computer has shot itself... it's found a virus that's causing havok. So after we've got it back I no longer have my editing program, I've lost all my music and I was close to have lost all my footage...

So... back to the drawing board on a lot of things..

For the first time after 3 years of pushing the event, Simon French has launched the Big Bend Super D. Big Bend is the name of a group of fire roads that form a route to the Tolosa mountain bike park. It's about 30 long without stopping, very rocky and loose and in the middle of Mt. Wellington's forests.

I'll be trying to make it to the event, although I have no idea how to film such a huge course, it should be an interesting experience...

Arriving back in mid December, the new camera arrived.

She's a Sony Fx1000E, a HD Prosumer Camcorder filming in 1080i. WIth a lens the size of the moon, it should be awesome fun creating some movies with this beast of a camera!
